Maple science experiment

After our presentation last week, we learned that it takes 40 bottles of maple sap to make one bottle of delicious maple syrup! To give it some context, we brought in a large container and asked the students to predict how much 40 bottles of sap (in our case water) would fill the container. They put a piece of tape where they thought the water would go to.
Then, we filled a particular bottle 40 times and poured it into the container.
At the same time, one student was responsible for keeping track of how many bottles we’d filled by doing a tally to 40.
Congratulations to Hudson and Noah whose guesses were the closest.
