We're Going on a Leaf Hunt

We read a book of the same title (loosely based on "Going on a Bear Hunt").
We then wandered through the forest in search of leaves in specific colours.
Students had to clip on the leaf once they found the correct colour.
We had to make a stop during our walk to pick "the talking flowers"! It is a wildflower similar to snapdragons that is called yellow toadflax. We like to pinch the sides of the flower, making it appear as if it is moving it's lips and talking!
What a wonderful way to spend Outdoor Learning Day! The junior kindergartens will get to experience this fun next week!
