As you are likely aware, we take the students out for a Nature walk in our forested area most days.  We often meet older students enjoying our outdoor environment as well. Today, a group of older students were running around searching for clues in a scavenger hunt. Several of these older children came indoors with ticks on them! Although I purposefully only allow our kids to travel on the paths (unlike the older children who were running through the long grass and underbrush), it is best to check your child for ticks. Unfortunately, we will stay out of the forest until the weather begins getting cooler. In case you are wondering, this is what these little pests look like:
