Welcome Back!

Welcome back! We hope that you all had a great March Break! We were excited to hear the kids tell us stories and draw pictures of what they did over the March Break :)

This week we have been focusing on a variety of fun activities including music, art, emotions and feelings!
Our "Kindergarten Art Gallery"

We have some fantastic Artist's in our class!

We have been talking about some famous artist's and the variety of ways we can paint and create art!
This is one particular artist we talked about: Peter Longstaff, who uses his feet to create beautiful paintings. The kids were amazed at what he was able to create using only his feet!

So we thought why not let the kids create their own masterpiece painting with their feet!

We had fun getting our feet painted and dancing to music!

We apologize if there was some colorful socks that came home but the kids absolutely LOVED this!

Our feet are ready!!

Corbin might have been a little ticklish!

Ms. Kemp helping clean our feet!!

We got some great dancers!

We listened to a variety of music, slow songs, fast songs, silly songs, etc and let the kids draw how the music made them feel! We discussed different emotions and feelings, we talked about different colors and techniques they could use to express the way they were feeling.
It was really interesting to see how each of them interpreted the music and how it made them feel!

This music makes me happy :)

This music makes me feel silly!

We have also read some fantastic art stories this week!
