Bones, bones, bones!

Now that Halloween is over, we are continuing to discuss bones, skeletons, skulls, X-rays, etc. We have a selection of animal skulls to touch and investigate. We also have been examining a variety of animal X-rays. Students are encouraged to examine the objects, make diagrams and drawings and share their knowledge.

We are learning about how important our bones are, and how many we have (206 in an adult body and almost 300 as an infant).
Some students have made their own X-rays using either toothpicks or Q tips.
