Stonecrest's own Dinosaur!

The blue group went on a scavenger hunt this afternoon in the forest.
We found black eyed Susans...
Purple vetch....
Buttercups....
Old tent caterpillar nests...
Moss and lichen (we learned that hummingbirds use these materials, along with spider webs to make their nests!)
And a dinosaur egg!!!!!!
Complete with it's own nest. A Stonecrestasaurus??
Upon further investigation and lots of excitement, we realized that it was a watermelon that had been painted! Our teachers tried to trick us.
A great end to the nature walk, having a couple of slices of watermelon.
