Classroom visitors

We have some unusual guests at our science centre these days for the student's exploration. Last week, there was a giant praying mantis and a number of black swallowtail caterpillars munching on some parsley. This week, the caterpillars have begun changing into their chrysalis form, and we now have a frog in an aquarium. Yesterday, with the blue group, when we went outdoors to catch the bus, a beautiful leopard frog hopped in front of us. We were able to capture him and really look at him and discuss some of his froggy characteristics.
Looking at our frog.
Some chrysalis and caterpillars.
Easton even made his own praying mantis!
