On Friday, we took the class outdoors, to our favourite area, the forest! It was a lovely afternoon, however, we wanted the students to focus on smaller details. We read an alphabet book first, then challenged the students to find all the letters of the alphabet with natural objects outdoors. Two students took out clipboards so that they might keep track of what letters we had found and photographed, and what letters we were still searching for. We found some very interesting items! It was amazing when we really looked, how we could find most letters!

We even stopped to listen to the spring peepers (frogs), who were singing...a true sign spring has finally arrived!
I will compile all our photos into a book. Ask your child to bring the class book home to share if you too would like to see it.
