Hatching time

We have 12 hens eggs set in our school incubator.

Each day, a few of us go and spray some water on the eggs and cross off  a day on our hatching calendar.

We attempted “candling” the eggs using a strong flashlight in a dark room. Inside, we could see a dark “blob” moving around inside. In some eggs, we could view developing veins. In most, it was easy to see the air space at the end.

There are 11 more days to go. We can’t wait until May 7!
