Fire Prevention & Education!

Fire Fighters!

We had some fire fighters come into the school today to do some fire prevention and education with the children. The kids got a group presentation in their classrooms this morning and talked about fire safety. We encourage you to ask your child some of the things he/she learnt today at school. 

The children got to go outside and learn different parts on a fire truck!

Then we got to line up and each take a turn sitting inside the fire truck! This was a BIG hit! The children LOVED it!

We even got some nice dandelions too while we waited:)

Valley View Farm!

It was a chilly day at the farm today but that didn't stop the kids from enjoying their field trip to Valley View Farm! They got to ride the train, feed the goats, see rabbits, peacocks and deer. They also enjoyed the play structure area!

We wanted to say a BIG thank you to all the volunteers who donated their time to come with us today to Valley View Farm! Thank you for braving the cold weather and helping us make this day enjoyable for the kids! We really appreciate all your help!

Notice Regarding Field Trip & Flooding

This is the notice that was sent home today if you did not receive it!

Dear Parents,

We are going to have a busy day outside tomorrow for our field trip to Valley View Farm. Please ensure your child is dressed for the cold weather. That would include a warm jacket, rain boots, a warm hat, something for their hands and splash/wind pants if possible. Please also send their normal lunch and a water bottle. If your child receives hot lunch on Tuesday they will get their hot lunch when we return to school at 2:00 pm.

If you have limited access to warm clothes due to flooding, please tell us and we will find extra clothes. As well, if you have limited access to food, cooking facilities, or other flooding challenges please inform us and the school will do what it can to provide support, including providing lunches.

Upcoming Events!

Just a few reminders..

Our class field trip to Valley View Farm is this coming Tuesday, May 9th. Thank you to all that have volunteered to help out! We have sent home a note regarding volunteers in each of the children's note totes on Friday.

Our Spring Concert is quickly approaching! May 16th starting at 6:30 pm. We hope that you all can make it to see what your children have been practicing for a few weeks! They are very excited to share their songs with all of you!
